For system integrators and other actors
Questions from system integrators
Common questions about qualification, the match fee, the success fee and reporting — for system integrators, technology suppliers and R&D actors.
What is RoboConnect?
RoboConnect is an independent platform that connects industrial companies with relevant system integrators, technology suppliers and R&D actors in automation, robotics and industrial process automation.
The platform helps customers structure the need before they move on to relevant actors.
What is RoboConnect’s role in a customer project?
RoboConnect facilitates needs clarification, matching and introductions between the customer and relevant actors.
We are not a party to the delivery, and we do not negotiate price, timeline or contract terms. That is agreed directly between the customer and the chosen actor.
What do we get as a registered actor?
As a registered actor you can be considered for relevant customer projects based on competence, experience, technology areas and capacity.
RoboConnect can give you access to better structured project enquiries, so it is easier to judge whether the project fits your competence.
You do not just get a loose enquiry. You get a more structured need from a customer who has taken a position on process, goals, constraints and further interest.
Is our profile publicly visible?
No. The profile is not a public directory listing and is not published as a searchable supplier profile. It is used for matching and relevance assessment internally in RoboConnect.
The customer may receive an anonymised description of relevant competence before contact is opened. Company name and contact information are only shared once contact has been approved.
What is required to get in contact with a customer?
To get in contact with a customer you normally need to:
- have a registered profile on RoboConnect,
- be assessed as relevant to the project,
- accept RoboConnect’s terms,
- request contact with the customer about the project,
- have that contact approved by the customer,
- pay the match fee before the contact information is released.
This keeps the process orderly and traceable.
What is a match fee?
The match fee is a one-time fee for access to an approved customer contact on a qualified project. It is triggered when you request to contact the customer about the project, RoboConnect has assessed the relevance, and the customer approves.
The fee is 5,000 NOK excl. VAT per qualified customer project, and covers RoboConnect’s work structuring the need, assessing relevance and facilitating a qualified introduction.
If the customer does not approve the request, no match fee is triggered.
What is a success fee?
The success fee is a payment to RoboConnect if the contact made through the platform leads to a signed contract between the customer and the actor.
The fee is 2% of the total agreed contract value excluding VAT. If the contact does not lead to a contract, no success fee applies.
Should the success fee be built into the quote to the customer?
No. The success fee is a payment to RoboConnect and must not be built in as a hidden charge or an artificially raised price in the quote to the customer.
The quote to the customer should reflect the actual delivery, solution and commercial terms between you and the customer.
What is Clarify Customer, and is it available now?
Clarify Customer is a digital qualification flow for your OWN new or existing customer leads — customer relationships you bring in yourself. It is a different product from project matching through RoboConnect.
The tool is under development and is being tested with system integrators. It is not available in the product yet, and the pricing model will be set after the pilot.
The match fee and the success fee apply to projects that come through RoboConnect, not to customer relationships you bring into Clarify Customer yourself.
Are we obliged to quote on projects?
No. You are not obliged to quote on a project just because you are registered or have looked at a need.
You should only request contact or move forward with projects you genuinely consider relevant.
Who carries the risk in the project?
The commercial and technical risk sits between the customer and the chosen actor.
RoboConnect contributes structure, needs clarification, matching and traceability, but is not responsible for the delivery.
Who agrees budget, timeline and contract terms?
That is agreed directly between the customer and the actor.
RoboConnect can help make sure the project basis is better structured before the dialogue starts, but does not take part in the commercial negotiations.
What information do we get about the customer before contact is opened?
You can receive relevant information about the project need — for example industry, process, goals, challenges, volumes and requirements.
The customer’s name and contact information are only shared once contact has been approved and the conditions for opening contact are met.
Can we contact the customer directly outside RoboConnect?
No. If you are introduced to a customer through RoboConnect, the continued dialogue and any projects with that customer must be handled in line with RoboConnect’s terms.
This normally applies for an agreed period after the introduction and is there to safeguard traceability, confidentiality and a fair process.
Can actors outside Norway register?
Yes. Actors based outside Norway can register on RoboConnect.
For them, RoboConnect can work as a route into the Norwegian market, with a local, trust-based framework around contact with industrial customers.
Can we stop using RoboConnect?
Yes. Registration is without obligation, and you can ask to have the user deleted or stop using the platform.
Introductions and projects already facilitated through RoboConnect remain covered by the applicable terms, including those on confidentiality, reporting and circumvention.
Questions about the current rates?
The match fee and the success fee are on the pricing page. If you have questions about what applies to a specific project, get in touch.
