Terms of use

RoboConnect is an independent Norwegian digital platform that connects industrial companies (“Customers”) with qualified system integrators, technology suppliers and R&D actors (“Actors”) for robotics and automation projects. RoboConnect is not a party to the agreement entered into between Customer and Actor — we facilitate the contact and verify the profiles before contact information is released.

The Platform is aimed at businesses. To register an account you must be of legal age and have authority to bind the business you represent. An account is personal — you may not share your sign-in details with others.

RoboConnect AS is a Norwegian company, and the service is offered in the markets RoboConnect supports at any given time. Availability, functionality and commercial conditions may vary from market to market. We reserve the right to reject registrations that clearly fall outside the purpose of the service.

On registration you choose a role (Customer or Actor) and complete a profile form adapted to that role. You undertake to provide correct and up-to-date information about your business.

Actor profiles are verified by RoboConnect before they become matchable. We may request additional documentation where necessary to verify competence or capacity.

Customer projects are published in anonymised form in the public list and in the actor interface. Actors see the title, region, industry and a short summary — but not the customer’s name, company registration number or contact information. Correspondingly, customers see an anonymised actor profile (role, county, competence) until the conditions below are met.

Contact information between Customer and Actor is released when all of the following conditions are met:

• The Actor has requested contact and accepted the terms
• RoboConnect has verified the Actor’s profile and approved the request
• The Customer has approved the contact
• The Actor has paid the match fee via Stripe

Until all conditions are met, the parties remain anonymous to each other. Attempts to circumvent the anonymisation — for example by linking identities via a third party in order to avoid the match fee — are a breach of these terms.

Actors pay a match fee per released contact. The amount is shown at checkout before the payment is completed. The match fee covers RoboConnect’s work verifying the actor profile, quality-assuring the customer’s need and facilitating the contact.

The payment is handled by Stripe. The match fee is normally non-refundable once the contact has been released, but get in touch with us if you believe there is an error with the payment or the request, and we will assess the case individually.

If the contact leads to a signed contract between Customer and Actor, the Actor is obliged to report the contract in their dashboard with the contract value and the signing date. The Actor pays a commission (“success fee”) to RoboConnect based on the reported contract value. The commission model and rates follow from the commercial agreement between the Actor and RoboConnect and are confirmed on registration. Invoices are sent manually by RoboConnect.

The Actor undertakes to report all contracts originating from a released contact on the Platform. Deliberate under-reporting or erosion of the reporting obligation is a material breach of the terms.

Customers may report received quotes in their dashboard. This is voluntary and helps RoboConnect with quality assurance and statistics. The content of the quote is treated confidentially and is not shared with other Actors.

As a user you undertake to:

• Provide correct information about yourself and your business
• Keep your sign-in details confidential
• Not attempt to circumvent the anonymisation or the match fee condition
• Not upload or share unlawful, offensive or misleading content
• Not use the Platform for scraping, automated retrieval or abuse
• Not share customer PII (names, company registration numbers, contact information) in the RoboConnect assistant

RoboConnect may suspend or close accounts that breach the terms, without notice in the case of serious breaches.

RoboConnect is an intermediary — we are not a party to the agreement entered into between Customer and Actor, and we are not responsible for the quality of the automation work delivered, delivery deadlines, warranties or any claims between the parties. Such matters are governed directly by the agreement between Customer and Actor.

We do our best to verify actor profiles, but we cannot guarantee that a particular actor is the right match for a particular project. The final assessment of quotes and suppliers is the Customer’s responsibility.

We aim for high uptime on the Platform, but give no guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced in reasonable time where practically possible. The service is provided “as is”, within the framework of Norwegian consumer and commercial law.

RoboConnect’s total liability towards a user for loss arising from use of the Platform is limited to the match fees paid by that user in the 12 months preceding the loss. RoboConnect is not liable for indirect loss, including lost profit, lost business opportunity, reputational damage or loss caused by faults at sub-processors (Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Resend, GitHub).

The limitations do not apply in the event of intent or gross negligence on RoboConnect’s part, or where mandatory legislation provides for different liability.

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy. It forms part of these terms.

We may change these terms following changes to the service, to legislation or to the business model. Material changes are notified by email to registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the change has taken effect is regarded as acceptance of the updated terms.

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us at hei@roboconnect.no. Deleted accounts are removed from our database and backups within 90 days, with the exception of data we are legally required to retain (for example invoicing records for five years under the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act).

RoboConnect may close accounts in the event of a material breach of the terms. Match fees and success fees owed for matters arising before termination remain payable after the account has been closed.

This agreement is governed by Norwegian law. The parties shall seek to resolve disputes amicably. If this is not possible, the dispute may be brought before the ordinary Norwegian courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
